Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to deliver quality care using the nursing process in the Telemetry Unit. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, monitor responses, and reassess as needed while collaborating with physicians on changes in condition and diagnostic results.

You will perform general nursing duties across departments under supervision, participate in CQI activities, and maintain the required Florida RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate changes in the patient's condition with physicians (including diagnostic results and symptoms).
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
