Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry 4 – Full-time, 7P

Our Telemetry department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7p – 7a shift

Department Highlights
  1. 28 bed Telemetry Department provides telemetry and Med/Surg level of care for the general medical/surgical, endocrine GI/renal patient population ages Adult to Geriatric.
  2. 4/5:1 patient to nurse ratio on days and 5/6:1 on nights working 12-hour shifts.
  3. MAGNET facility.
  4. Level III Trauma Center.
  5. Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance.

Here’s what you need
  1. Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  3. BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  4. ACLS – within 90 days of hire required.
  5. CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire.
  6. 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  7. Current Telemetry experience preferred - will consider Med/Surg experience.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
  1. demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  2. The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
  3. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
What You Will Do
  1. Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:
  2. assesses the patient;
  3. plans the care of the patient;
  4. intervenes as appropriate;
  5. evaluates the effectiveness of interventions;
  6. Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care;
  7. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information;
  8. Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
