Special Pay Program

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry assumes responsibility for providing comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care to an assigned group of patients. The RN is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The Telemetry Unit is a fast-paced, high-acuity 42-bed unit, certified by the Joint Commission in Stroke and Heart Failure, and recognized by the American Heart Association for maintaining high-quality metrics in managing Stroke, Heart Failure, and Atrial Fibrillation.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure patient safety during job performance and participate in safety initiatives; take action to correct risks
  • Report adverse events and near misses to management
  • Consistently implement policies, procedures, and standards
  • Identify potential risks in processes, procedures, or devices and communicate them
  • Support team unity and maintain positive working relationships
  • Create a healing environment for patients and families
  • Establish therapeutic relationships, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Apply clinical reasoning and knowledge for decision-making
  • Balance patient rights with organizational responsibilities in providing ethical care

Schedule: 2 out of 4 weekends, every other Friday and Saturday, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Apply for the Special Pay Program for more details.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Nursing Diploma minimum

Over 1 year of acute care RN experience with Telemetry

Licenses and Certifications: Valid PA RN license and BLS certification, both required upon hire
