Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks aRegistered Nurse for inpatient and ED roles on our hospital units. You will collaborate with providers and care teams to coordinate patient care, assess symptoms, and provide psychological support to patients and families.

This role operates 24/7 and requires leadership and a professional demeanor. Active RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan and BLS certification are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Protects, promotes and restores health by providing inpatient/ED nursing care.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team across 24/7 hospital units.
• Assess physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients and families.
• Mentor and support assigned team members; maintain professional disposition.

Pay range for this position is $38.70 - $57.78/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
