Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced Telemetry Nurse to provide nursing care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process. You will perform assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating with physicians on patient condition and diagnostic findings.

The role requires basic computer skills and adherence to nursing standards. A one-year acute care background and telemetry training or experience are preferred; valid FL RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• One (1) year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course or telemetry experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians including diagnostic results and symptomatology.

Position Qualification:

• One (1) year acute care experience preferred
• Successful completion of Telemetry course/or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current State (FL) Registered Nurse Licensure.
• American Red Cross Association BLS certification.
