Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient and family teaching, while coordinating with other nurses and physicians on changes in clinical condition.

The role requires current RN license, BLS and ACLS; BSN preferred and acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 $53.58 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
