Job summary

AdventHealth Celebration is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Surgical PCU team on the night shift. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely, following orders and protocols.

Unit Highlights:

• AdventHealth Celebration's Surgical PCU is a 32 bed unit that provides excellent care for multicultural patients that come from all over the world for thoracic, cardiovascular, and vascular surgeries.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
