Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Part-time Registered Nurse for the 9CC Surgical Oncology unit. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care on a high-acuity inpatient service, applying the nursing process to support safe, efficient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active NC RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice (North Carolina).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by American Heart Association.

Where You Will Work

9CC Surgical Oncology is a 40-bed inpatient unit specializing in post-operative care for adult patients undergoing colorectal, urologic, head and neck, and other complex oncologic surgeries. Nurses on this unit provide high-acuity care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support safe, efficient patient flow within the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
