Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery Center

Compensation and Benefits: $5,000 Sign-On Bonus + Quarterly Bonus Opportunities

This is a full-time RN position based at our El Paso, TX surgery center. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until cases are complete. No weekends or call required.

Ideal Experience: Dialysis, ICU, CCU, ER, IR, OR, or Cath Lab. Certifications: ACLS / BLS. Purpose and Scope

Supports the organization's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to compliance and regulatory policies. Provides direct nursing care pre, during, and post-procedure, under supervision, utilizing standard nursing techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Quality: Support and drive quality standards, meet regulatory requirements, assist with CQI activities, ensure outstanding patient care, maintain medical records integrity, and address adverse events.
  2. Patient Care: Obtain medical history, educate patients, monitor patient condition, document accurately, and administer medications and sedation as directed. Assist with procedures and laboratory testing, perform IV insertions, and respond to emergency situations.
  3. Physician Support: Communicate effectively with physicians, participate in CQI meetings, and assist with reporting adverse events.
  4. Maintenance and Technical Support: Operate and inspect facility equipment, ensure a safe environment, and address maintenance needs.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Manage medication and supply inventories, assist with policy updates, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Includes desk work, patient interaction, heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and occasional moving of patients and equipment up to 200 lbs, with assistance. Work environment is a healthcare facility with exposure to infectious materials and radiation, requiring protective gear as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.).
  • Current state licensure and ACLS certification required.
  • 4-6 years' related experience preferred, especially in surgical or interventional settings.
  • Proficient in computer use, IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and familiar with medical software.
