Job summary

We are a diversified healthcare delivery network in Beckley, WV, seeking a Registered Nurse to join our OR team. The RN will perform assessments, initiate care, and document extensively to support medical necessity. Current state RN license and an associate or bachelor’s degree are required.

Required within 30 days: BLS; within six months: ACLS and PALS. One year of surgical experience is preferred; ASLS is a plus. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

More about our team

The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists per room to ensure optimal patient care and support. Our OR team handles a wide array of specialties, including orthopedic and orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, podiatry, spine procedures, DaVinci robotic cases, trauma, and urology. Nurses working in this unit are required to maintain current certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS. The OR accommodates both inpatient and outpatient cases, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

How you’ll contribute...

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
