Location: River View Nursing and Rehab, Wilkes-Barre, PA
Schedule: Weekends Only

• Day Shift: 7 AM–3 PM
• Evening Shift: 3 PM–11 PM

Your Role as a Weekend RN Supervisor

As a Weekend RN Supervisor, you’ll provide leadership and support to the nursing staff during your assigned shifts. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring residents receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide nursing staff during day or evening weekend shifts, ensuring compliance with resident care plans and facility standards.
• Act as a mentor and resource for the nursing team, addressing questions and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Unit Managers to manage staffing needs and resident care priorities.
• Provide direct patient care when necessary to maintain clinical quality and resident satisfaction.
• Monitor resident care plans, ensuring they are up to date and reflect the needs and preferences of residents.
• Ensure infection control practices and facility policies are upheld, meeting state and federal regulations.
• Document incidents, changes in resident status, and other critical information for effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Foster a positive, person-centered care approach, ensuring residents' needs and preferences are met.

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required).
• Experience:
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitative facility strongly encouraged.
• Skills:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and lead direct care staff effectively.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and person-centered care.
