Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Primary Care

Manages patient assignments and flow within clinic. Provides oversight of patient care to support patient and staff needs. Serves as a lead, clinical resource, role model, and extension of management to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Assigns staff to patients per current clinic workload. Considers acuity, staff experience and competency, learning needs and patient acuity/complexity when considering assignments.
  2. Participates in performance management of staff members to include coaching, preparation of performance evaluations, and the performance management process. Initiates disciplinary action as appropriate.
  3. Addresses conflicts as they may arise. Assists/mediates to maintain smooth operations of the clinic.
  4. Performs service recovery to promote patient and employee retention.
  5. Facilitate orientation and training for employees.
  6. Serves as liaison with other persons/departments/clinics concerning services offered by the office.
  7. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • BSN required.
  • 2 years of related supervisory/management experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies as appropriate.
  • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.
  • Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families is essential.

Required Licensure/Certifications

– Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
– Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher per unit specific requirements.

  • Pay Range: $41.50/Hr. – $58.25/Hr.
  • FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 – 1.00 – 40 hrs/week
