Bel-Air Manor is a 71-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Newington, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse Supervisor. Come join our team!

Full-Time 11p-7a, and Part-Time 3-11p EOW

RN Supervisor Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse supervisor will oversee day-to-day nursing activities in the facility, including developing work assignments, ensuring sufficient staffing and maintaining good working rapport.

RN Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
  • Ensure that direct nursing care is provided by a licensed nurse, a certified nursing assistant, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure
  • Ensure that all RNs and LPNs on your shift comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
  • Provide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for your Charge Nurses.
  • Ensure that nursing service personnel follow established infection control procedures when isolation precautions become necessary.

RN Supervisor Requirements:
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university and be a graduate of a Connecticut approved RN program.
  • Must possess a current certification as a Nurses Aide.
  • Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
