Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Must hold a current Ohio RN license and ACLS certification.

UC Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Stress Testing Lab for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the Medical Center’s Stress Testing Lab in delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policies and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • Passing grade on dysrhythmias/EKG exam
  • ACLS certification

Job Responsibilities

  • The RN holds a current state license to practice nursing. The practice involves specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to individuals and groups.
  • The RN uses knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Care is culturally sensitive and age-specific.
  • Care for patients pre, intra, and post TEE procedures.
  • Care for patients receiving cardiac stress tests in the Stress Testing Lab, Echo Lab, PET, or MRI.
  • Prepare, implement, evaluate, revise, and coordinate interdisciplinary care plans for patients, collaborating with healthcare team members and families.
  • Communicate care plans effectively and establish care priorities based on patient assessments and needs.
  • Provide clear treatment instructions to patients and involve families in care processes.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to behavioral health issues, psychological needs, or cultural norms.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Document nursing processes accurately and concisely, in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff and float personnel.
  • Engage in personal and professional development, contributing to team growth.
