Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Step Down ICU (LTAC)
  • Schedule: Full Time Nights; 36 hours per week; e/3rd weekend. Hours: 7pm to 7:30am
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Seton
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

We care for critically ill patients needing longer term hospitalization such as respiratory failure/ventilator management and weaning, and multisystem complexities.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
Additional Preferences

RN ICU/Progressive care experience
