Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix seeks an RN Electrophysiology for full-time days to perform nursing care in EP lab, assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and coordinate patient care with the team.

Requirements include Arizona RN license, ACLS and BLS, BSN preferred, and 1+ year ED/ICU or procedural experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). Shift is 6a–6:30p with late stay call.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Arizona RN license in good standing; ACLS & BLS required.
• 1+ year of ED/ICU or procedural nursing experience preferred.
• BSN preferred; CCRN preferred.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment and team setting.

RN Electrophysiology Full Time Days Position Summary

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.

• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agencies, as required.
• Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures and using the pacing stimulator.

*This position has assigned late stay call to finish scheduled procedures during the week. No call on nights, holidays or weekends.*

Shift: 6a-630p (12 hr Shifts)

Special Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure. Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills

THE RN EP LAB FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

BSN

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience preferred. Hemodynamics experience preferred.

Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.

Strongly preferred expr in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.

Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION:

Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) is preferred
