Job summary

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab on a full-time days schedule. You will deliver direct nursing care, coordinate with cardiology and imaging teams, and support cardiovascular procedure workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 1+ year experience in ED/ICU or procedural settings; AZ RN license; ACLS/BLS; BSN preferred. On-site shift typically 6a-6:30p with on-call duties and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Diverse clinical experience preferred in ED/ICU or procedural settings.
• Arizona RN license and ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an assigned unit.

Position Summary

RN Cath Lab Full Time Days Position Summary

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agency(ies), as required.
• Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Participates in on-call rotation for emergency cardiovascular procedures outside normal operating hours including evenings and weekends.

Special Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure. Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills. *Must be able to take call and be within 30 minutes of Abrazo Heart Hospital.

Shift: 6a-630p (12 hr Shifts)

THE RN CATH LAB FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school

PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred. Hemodynamics experience preferred.

Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.

Strongly preferred expr in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.

Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION:)

Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) is preferred
