Job Description
Full Time Nights 7pm to 7am
This role is considered the minimum role for all nurses at UMMC with more than 12 months of experience. The nurse will be competent in required skills and fully participate in unit governance. Adheres to the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter. Provides and coordinates patient care within a clinical specialty, serving as an effective team member. Demonstrates professional nursing practice and contributes to strategies for improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness. Is accountable to patients, families, peers, and the nurse manager for care processes, outcomes, and performance.
The Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU) specializes in resuscitation of adult critically-ill, non-trauma patients transferred for tertiary care. Using a collaborative team approach, it facilitates rapid access to services such as neurology, stroke neurology, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, cardiology, emergency surgery, vascular, soft tissue, medicine, and transplant.
As a nurse in the CCRU, you will provide care to a diverse patient population requiring rapid evaluation, resuscitation, stabilization, and management for neurological, surgical, medical, and cardiac emergencies. For detailed conditions and therapies, visit http://www.umm.edu/ccru.
