Job Summary

Novant Health is hiring a Same Day Surgery registered nurse for Day/Night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. We offer up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus and a $7,500 relocation bonus.

• Schedule: Full-time, 0.8 FTE, mixed shifts including 2 12-hour shifts and 1 8-hour shift. Shifts will vary with rotation between day and night shifts.

About the Same Day Surgery Department:

We seek an excellent communicator, engaged, self-motivated team player with at least 3 years of bedside clinical experience. Our unit handles 140-160 patient touches daily across 37 rooms, which can be pre-op or post-op. Pre-op: 1 nurse to 2 patients, with 1:1 after the first case begins. Post-op: 1:2. Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, covering various surgeries. BLS and ACLS are required; PALS is preferred but can be obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school required. If your RN license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five or more years without licensure in another state in that period, a Board-approved refresher course is required before license reactivation or reinstatement. Apply for licensure reinstatement within one year of completing the course.
• Experience: At least one year relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required.
