Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Renal Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Tulsa, OK. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and document care while delivering efficient and high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg setting.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN, a current OK or Multistate RN license, and will obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. This position emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Current valid OK or Multistate RN License.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer and before patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care reflecting growth and development principles across the patient lifespan.
• Assess data to identify patient needs and tailor plans of care accordingly.
• Develop and modify the care plan in line with Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act rules and regulations.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
