Job summary

Hillcrest Healthcare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Renal Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team. You will assess, plan, implement and document patient care, delivering high-quality care for diverse renal patients.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Current valid OK or Multistate RN license.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities according to standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients on the Medical-Surgical unit with renal care needs.
• Develop and modify the plan of care in line with hospital policies and nursing practice acts.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and institutional policies.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting care activities in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Plan for the provision of patient care including the development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with HHS standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
