Job summary

Lifepoint Health invites applications for a Rehabilitation RN (Registered Nurse) in Winchester, TN. This full-time night shift role involves 3x12 schedules (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends and holidays.

The package includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for well-qualified applicants and a comprehensive benefits program. The unit is a 12-bed inpatient rehab with multidisciplinary care; you will collaborate with therapy, physicians, and case management to deliver patient-centered care and support

Qualifications

• Requires Tennessee RN license or compact state license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• AHA BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration and treatments.
• Document care and monitor patient condition for the care team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborate across disciplines for patient discharge and transfers.
• Educate patients and families appropriate to age and condition.

We are a 12-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and the only acute inpatient rehab option in the area, serving a diverse population with a wide range of diagnoses. Our team practices a strong interdisciplinary approach, allowing nurses to work closely with therapy, physicians, and case management to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. We maintain a supportive work environment with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1, promoting quality care and professional growth.

How you’ll contribute

A Rehabilitation RN who excels in this role:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.

Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
