Job summary

Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 57-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital delivering care for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma and orthopedic patients.

We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift who will develop and execute personalized care plans, coordinate with physicians and families, and support safe discharges using our advanced technology.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Preferred
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust patient care plans with the care team.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.

Department/Unit Summary

Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Develop nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. Participates in discharges planning process.
