Qualifications

  • BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.

+ Department: Regional Resource - Women's Float Pool

+ Schedule: PRN, part-time, or full-time commitment levels, Nights, 7p-7a.

+ Hospital: St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and surrounding St. Vincent area hospitals

+ Location: Indiana

Our Float Pool supplements staffing throughout the regional network of hospitals based on need. You will have the opportunity to experience diverse practice environments and explore different facilities.

Benefit options and eligibility vary by position. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  1. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  2. Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  3. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  4. Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  1. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  2. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  1. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

This is a non-benefited position.

Labor and Delivery experience is a must.

At least 2 years of current Labor & Delivery, High Risk, MBU experience is highly preferred.
