Job summary

Delray Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for day shifts on a per diem basis. The RN will deliver high-quality, safe nursing care and coordinate patient care across the nursing process.

Requirements include a Florida RN license with BLS, preferred BSN, and certifications such as ACLS and PALS. Prior clinical experience is preferred, and EKG certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Florida RN license in good standing; BLS required.
• BSN preferred; prior clinical experience desirable.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred; EKG experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, safe nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate patient care based on the nursing process and standards.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, risk management and QI guidelines.
• Discharge planning and collaboration with care teams.

The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Preferred: BSN

Experience

• Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. BLS Certification.

Other Qualifications

• EKG certification, ACLS and PALS certification.
