Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS certifications required
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN strongly preferred and encouraged to complete within five years
• Two years of critical care nursing experience required
• EMR experience with EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care with the Rapid Response Team. As a member of the Rapid Response Team (RRT), the RRT Nurse will focus on specific situations in non-critical care areas. These situations will have complex clinical issues and require immediate attention and clinical expertise.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• The RRT nurse will assist the staff member in assessing and stabilizing the patient's condition, as well as organizing information to be communicated to the patient's physician
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. ASN or Nursing diploma required. If a candidate possesses ASN or Nursing diploma, they must agree to complete BSN within five years of hire date. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. 2years experience in critical care nursing required.

This position offers per diemdayshift with required rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as well as rotating holidays, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
