Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Radiology department in Jersey City Medical Center. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure coordinated care.

Strong communication and clinical judgment are essential in this fast-paced setting. Applicants must have an active NJ RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a Bachelor's degree in nursing or enrollment in a BSN

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes to intervene early.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely, coordinated care decisions.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions

• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion date. One year of experience Interventional Radiology experience or Critical care experience preferred. Comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Monday – Friday and on-call required.
