Qualifications

  • 2-4 years experience in cath lab, open heart and/or ACC, STS registry.
  • Registered nurse or health-related certification is required.
  • CPHQ certification is preferred.

This is a Part Time Position working 20 hours per week during the hours of operation of Monday - Friday from 8-4 EST

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The primary function for this position is to ensure timely collection, analysis and communication of clinical data for chart abstracted measures, registries, accreditations and certifications as identified by the organization.

Essential Functions

Functions as liaison with vendor abstraction teams. While working with the vendor, provides inter rater reliability, monitoring submission timeliness and completion to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, CMS conditions of participation, medical staff bylaws and payor requirements.

Identifies and communicates patterns and trends of data and opportunities for improvement to site based teams and quality leaders.

Serves as a subject matter expert to site teams regarding individual measures and data definitions

Participates in data verification and validation to ensure accuracy, integrity and inter-rater reliability of data elements

Participates in quality improvement activities that will promote patient safety and address opportunities identified in the abstraction, analysis or synthesis process

Participates in ongoing education to ensure application of current data definitions.
