Qualifications

Shady Grove Medical Center

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med Surg who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.


As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will:

  1. Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills through careful consideration of feedback and guidance provided by more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
  2. Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
  3. Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify the Adventist HealthCare values as they fulfill our nursing mission and vision.
  4. Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
  6. Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
  7. Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
  8. Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
  9. Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice.
  10. Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

Qualifications include:

  1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  2. Passing score on NCLEX
  3. Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  4. Current Maryland State nursing license
  5. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  6. ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area

Work Schedule:

7A-7P

Pay Range: $37.00 - $55.00

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
