Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Neurology RN to provide direct patient care on 8 East. You will perform assessments, coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and document thoroughly in accordance with Mercy standards.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with MO or compact licensure, BLS, and a willingness to grow in a fast-paced neuroscience unit. New graduates are welcome to apply; experience in neuro care is a plus. The role is on-site in Missouri and involves day shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri or compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

About the Unit

Neurology 8 East cares for patients with conditions such as strokes, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds. Nurses gain valuable experience with complex neuro assessments, safety-focused care, and close collaboration with neurology providers and therapy teams.

About the Role

The Neurology RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care consistent with Mercy's mission and values.

This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy clinical complexity, teamwork, and continuous skill development.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
