Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse II collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of pediatric patient care. Resolves patient problems and needs by applying multidisciplinary team strategies. Selects and coordinates appropriate care, considering the patient's age, developmental level, and size. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Recognizes own limitations and seeks resources as needed. Maintains collaborative relationships within healthcare teams through effective communication and participation in problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate's Degree in Nursing
2. 1 year of experience
3. Current California RN License
4. BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
2. 3 years of experience
3. Professional nursing certification
4. Pediatric nursing experience in a high-acuity department
5. Bilingual English/Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $59.53 to $83.06. Placement within this range will be based on the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
