Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Intermediate Unit South - St. Elizabeth Boardman

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Intermediate Unit South at St. Elizabeth Boardman with Conduit Health Partners.

Position Overview

This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a 24-bed intermediate unit, caring for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, Chest pain, GI Bleed, Sepsis, and renal failure. The unit features newer facilities with individual rooms, and the staffing ratio is 1:4/5 without LPNs. The team includes RNs, PCAs, and student nurse externs, emphasizing a friendly and collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
  2. Administer medications safely and according to policies.
  3. Coordinate patient care across hospital departments and advocate for patient safety and quality improvement.
  4. Manage patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma, supporting physiologic, psychologic, and psychosocial stability.
  5. Respond promptly to changing patient conditions and collaborate with families and care teams.
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by a compact agreement.
  • Preferred certifications: BLS (required upon hire), ACLS, CCRN, PCCN, NIH Stroke.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months in an acute care setting preferred.
  • EPIC EHR training and Critical Care courses are advantageous.
