Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit on night shifts. This full-time role offers a $20,000 bonus with a two-year commitment and includes rotating weekends.

As a key team member, you will deliver direct patient care, follow the nursing process, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes while maintaining documentation accuracy and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications encouraged.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration and specimen collection.
• Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Coordinate patient care across transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
