Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Cardiac Care Unit - Springfield Regional Medical Center

Summary of Primary Function: Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care. Coordinates, provides, and directs patient teaching activities and care provided by health team members.

Essential Job Functions: Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzes data, creates care plans, implements treatments, and evaluates their effectiveness. Administers medications safely according to policies and practices. Acts as a point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
