Riverside Health is seeking a PRN-A Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Gloucester, Virginia care team. The role supports the Director of Nursing in assessing, planning, implementing, and delivering quality resident care while coordinating with families and staff. Weekend and irregular shifts are required.

Requires Virginia RN license and CPR/BLS certification within 30 days. LTC experience is preferred, with less than 1 year LTC experience acceptable.

PRN-A Registered Nurse (RN)

to join their care team serving the Gloucester community.

Overview

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. Assesses, plans, implements, and executes delivery of resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service to assure positive resident outcomes. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.

What You Will Do

• Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care. Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process. Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes. Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

Experience

• Less than 1 year 6 Months Long Term Care (LTC) Experience (Required)
• 2 years LPN Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Assisted Living (AL) Setting (Preferred)
• 1 year RN Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
