Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on the nursing unit. Under supervision of nursing leadership, you will implement the nursing process, coordinate care, and support discharge planning and patient education.

The role may include Charge Nurse duties with ACLS certification. A valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required, with ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning and access community resources.
• Follow leadership directives and duties for Charge Nurses as applicable.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
