Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient unit. Under the direction of nursing leadership, you will plan, coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning and family teaching, while guiding a care team.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS (ACLS within 90 days). Prior inpatient med-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Charge Nurses must have ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching.
• Perform interdisciplinary planning and access community resources as part of patient care.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
