Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lufkin is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead patient care activities. The RN will utilize the nursing process to develop care plans, administer medications, and ensure high-quality care for patients with mental health challenges. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills to promote wellness and maintain patient safety.

The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes primary leadership accountability and responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities of other nursing staff. The RN maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policies, external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
The RN assesses patients using the nursing process to develop individualized care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes to promote, maintain, and restore physical and mental health while preventing illness. The RN interprets age/disability-specific information relevant to the client population served and ensures the safe delivery of medication according to policies, procedures, and physician orders. Accurate reporting and documentation of symptoms, responses, and progress are essential responsibilities. The RN also maintains professional development, continuing education, and licensure in compliance with regulations and standards.
