Job summary

George Regional Health System is seeking a flexible and dependable PRN Registered Nurse to support both the Med-Surg and ICU units. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while assisting with staffing needs across departments.

We are especially seeking PRN nurses available to work during the weekday schedule, particularly Wednesdays and Thursdays, to support coverage needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Mississippi (or eligible to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain for ICU coverage
• Med-Surg and/or ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in Med-Surg and/or ICU settings
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
• Assist with care of higher-acuity patients in ICU as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs
• Flexible availability, with preference for weekday coverage
