PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit. The RN will coordinate discharge planning, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team under the direction of Nursing leadership.

Current RN license in the state or a valid compact, BLS certification, and ACLS certification (within 90 days) are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure where applicable.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process on the medical-surgical unit.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Assume Charge Nurse duties if ACLS certified and assigned.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
