Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Temple, TX is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support inpatient care from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, documentation in EPIC, and coordination of admissions and transfers for brain, spinal, neurological, and orthopedic patients.

Minimum qualifications include RN license and at least one year of RN experience with BLS on hire. BSN is preferred and clinical experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• BLS required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpretation of assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Receive admissions and/or transfers.
