Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital - Springfield is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient acute rehabilitation team. You will assess patients, implement interventions, and contribute to the interdisciplinary care plan.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, documentation, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment; BSN preferred and BLS certification required, with rehab experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• BSN preferred.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• BLS certification required.
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and identifies needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Documents medical necessity in the chart in a timely manner.
• Maintains and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely QI assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
• Perform other duties as assigned.
