Job summary

Northpoint Recovery in Loveland, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts across Days, Swing and Nights. The RN will provide and oversee medical services for a patient caseload and act as the treatment plan coordinator within the multidisciplinary team, developing and implementing master and discharge plans.

You will communicate with staff, patients and families, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and ensure documentation complies with standards.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state where services are rendered
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and maintain professional boundaries
  • Understand and adhere to ethical standards of licensure

Responsibilities

  • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to the multidisciplinary team
  • Administer medications to patients and engage in education processes
  • Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain safety
  • Provide admission, orientation, education, and discharge plans to patients and families

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN

Location: Northpoint Colorado (Adult inpatient in Loveland, CO)

Reports To: Director of Nursing

Schedule: As needed Monday-Sunday (Available Shifts Below)

  • Days 6am-6:30pm
  • Swing 4pm-12:30am
  • Nights 6pm-6:30am

Compensation: $33-46/hour + Shift Differential

POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide and oversee medical services to a caseload of patients. This licensed nursing professional will act as the medical treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in developing and implementing master treatment plans and discharge plans for each patient. The RN will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, providers, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues relating to patients and their families. The RN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider and perform duties according to established patient care protocols, standards, and procedures, completing all documentation in a professional and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to the multidisciplinary team as necessary
  • Administer medications to patients and engage in education processes
  • Utilize de‑escalation skills when exposed to volatile patients to maintain personal safety for the patient and other individuals in care
  • Provide admission, orientation, education, and discharge plans to patients, families and others to aid in the treatment process
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team in developing treatment plans and discharge planning to strive for excellent patient care
  • Participate in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment, and report necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Conduct admissions and discharges of patients
  • Obtain vital signs, monitor symptoms, and document in the patient record
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and scope of licensure
  • Monitor patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate medical treatment and interventions
  • Document medical assessment, diagnosis, progress notes, roundings, and other treatment planning items in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times
  • Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility
  • Provide medical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where services are rendered
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
  • Enthusiasm and passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in care
  • Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements throughout employment
  • Ability to work with a diverse population with interpersonal skills required for treating patients in the assigned specialty area
  • Demonstrated ability to hold strong personal boundaries and to build rapport with patients
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board
