Job summary

Centerpoint - Versailles, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a PreOp RN to join our surgical team. This 25-bed hospital emphasizes compassionate care and community health, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., and a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. As a PreOp RN, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, meet diverse patient needs, and communicate effectively with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a Surgery RN.
• 2–4 years of critical care experience preferred.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
• TNCC preferred.
• Specialty certifications within 1 year; pass within 1.5 years of hire - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Meet physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural patient needs.
• Communicate effectively with health care team about changes in patient condition.
• Possess basic PC skills.
• Be flexible, organized and perform under stress.

More About Our TeamOur general surgery staff consists of expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and technicians all dedicated to performing successful operations and promoting comfortable healing and recovery. Our most common surgical services consist of endo, ortho, and pain procedures. Due to the high volume of outpatient procedures, our surgery staff do not work weekends or holidays.

How You'll ContributeOur PreOp RN's provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. As a PreOp RN you will:

• Meet the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural needs of the patient and family.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment.
• Possess basic PC skills.
• Have the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

What We're Looking ForApplicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• 1-2 years minimum experience as a Surgery RN
• 2-4 years critical care experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually
• TNCC preferred
• Specialty Certification testing within 1 year of hire and pass within 1.5 years of hire - preferred
