Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to protect, promote, and restore health at the top of licensure. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care across the continuum.

Responsibilities include assessing symptoms, supporting patients and families, mentoring teammates, and upholding professional standards. Illinois or Michigan RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing (Illinois or Michigan).
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date.
• BSN degree preferred.

Pay range for this position is $37.05 - $54.54/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

Gerlach Pre/Post:

• Surgical floor experience preferred
• ACLS preferred or obtained within first 6 months of hire
• Cares for pre and post surgical adult and pediatric patients
• One year minimum RN experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
