Job summary

Highpoint Health Sumner in Gallatin, TN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU on nights. This full-time position includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

You will provide direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process, report to the ICU Director/Manager, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Applicants should hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), current RN license in the state, BLS

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current RN license in state of practice is required.
• BLS is required; ACLS and PALS, and Handle with Care are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

How You’ll Contribute

Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions Additional Information

Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualification And Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS required ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
