Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, with rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. The unit features 14 beds and provides advanced monitoring and care for CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis patients.

Ideal candidates hold Ohio RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with PRN experience preferred. MetroHealth offers tuition reimbursement, certification incentives, and comprehensive health plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Congestive Heart Failure
• COPD
• DKA
• Sepsis

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• EKG interpretation
• Central Line care
• Rescue Bi-pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents,
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies)
• Critical thinking, delegating, time management

Personnel RN will work with:

• Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 14 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).

• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
