RWJBarnabas Health's Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift to deliver high‑quality patient care. You will assess patients, administer medications, document in EPIC, and work with physicians and a collaborative team to ensure safe transitions of care.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license with BLS and ACLS within six months, with a BSN preferred, and prior Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing with BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire is required.
• BSN strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on nursing care per policy.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support informed post-discharge care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team communication.

Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center is a facility of RWJBarnabas Health and provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Our facility includes centers for advanced wound care, sleep disorders, bariatrics, orthopedics cardiac services, cancer care, emergency services, and more. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32-bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement in good standing and current American Heart Association BLS certification as well as ACLS certification within six (6) months of hire.A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred;graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.Medical/Surgical and orTelemetrynursing experience preferred, as is the following certifications –MEDSURG-BC(Medical-Surgical Nursing Board Certification),PCCN(Progressive Care Certified Nurse),CMSRN(Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse), and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this position, you will work 7p-7:30a.This position requires every other weekend and holiday required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
