Responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and delivering quality nursing care to diverse patient populations, including pediatric to geriatric.

• Supervises LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and clerical staff; may serve as charge nurse.
• Develops, reviews, and updates comprehensive nursing care plans based on assessments and interdisciplinary input.
• Implements and documents patient care, prioritizing based on acuity; ensures safety and therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluates patient responses, progress toward goals, and revises plans weekly; completes daily progress notes and flow sheets.
• Assesses educational needs, provides patient and family teaching, and acts as a preceptor for new staff and students.
• Maintains effective communication, reports patient conditions accurately, and upholds confidentiality.
• Meets competency expectations in leadership, patient care, and teamwork.
