Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a part-time Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) for the day shift in Cushing, OK. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality perioperative care within a community hospital setting.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care while adhering to BMC and AORN standards, with on-call flexibility and potential supervision of LPNs. Required ADN/BSN and Oklahoma RN license, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS within set timelines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year Critical Care Experience.
• ADN or BSN required. Oklahoma or applicable Multi-state RN license (upon hire).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• PALS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care per standards to deliver quality patient care.
• Provide age-appropriate care reflecting growth and development across the lifespan.
• Develop and modify the plan of care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and participate in on-call rotations.
• Supervise LPNs as needed.

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. We also offer inpatient behavioral health care to adults experiencing amental health crisis by offering a fully staffed team of licensed professionals, personalized treatment plans and continued support after being discharged.

• Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluation, and documenting care activities in accordance with BMC and AORN standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
• The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care including the development modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with BMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures.
• He/She is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. This individual must also be willing to take call on a rotational basis and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility.
• This individual will monitor and supervise LPN’s as needed.

Job Requirements:
